Unimatrix works with any client that supports the Model Context Protocol, including Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Continue, VS Code MCP extensions, Warp, and custom agents you build yourself.

For clients without native MCP support, the REST API provides the same memory operations (store, search, list, recall) so you can integrate Unimatrix into any custom workflow.

The browser extension additionally adds a memory overlay directly on top of ChatGPT, Claude Web, and Gemini Web, independent of whether those products support MCP natively.

Because memory lives in Unimatrix rather than in any single provider's chat history, switching from one LLM to another does not lose your context — every connected client reads from the same vault.
