Cross-LLM continuity explained

How memory follows you between different AI models and clients.

Because memory is stored in Unimatrix rather than inside any individual chat history, the same memory vault is reachable from every connected client — Claude, ChatGPT (via the browser extension), Cursor, or any custom MCP agent.

In practice this means you can start a design discussion in one tool, switch to a different model for a second opinion, and both have access to the same prior context, as long as each client is instructed to load memory at the start of the conversation (see "Memories save, but they don't show up in new chats" in the Setup Troubleshooting FAQ).

This is different from a single vendor's "memory" feature, which is typically locked to that vendor's own product and does not transfer if you change models or providers.
